Director and actor Pavel Haradnitski and the “Legal initiative” will present a collaboration: a monodrama about the person who went through the Belarusian prison for comments/a comment on social media. A real story written on the basis of documented testimonies of the victims. The play is produced specially for the “Week Against Torture.”

“The Day After Tomorrow Will Be Tomorrow” is a story about survival in tough circumstances, about humanity and hope - the dignities that cannot be taken away even within the prison walls. For one hour the spectators will have an opportunity to see reality through the eyes of the chacracter: to laugh and cry with him as well as to dream about something personal.

The play of Pavel Haradnitski is one of the events of the “Week Against Torture” which takes place this year from June 24th to June 30th. The aim of this large-scale campaign which is being held for the 6th time by the “International Committee for the Investigation of Torture in Belarus” and the “Legal initiative” is drawing attention to the problem of abuse against arrested and imprisoned Belarusians.

The “Legal initiative” is a non-profit non-governmental human rights organisation that has been defending human rights in Belarus since 1996. The “International Committee for the Investigation of Torture in Belarus” is a special project that has helped to document about 1800 cases of violence in the country since 2020.
